oh deer!

I started this deer a few days ago. I picked up a gigantic pile of felts from a small thrift store near me that's only ever open (for very limited hours!) on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Cruelly, they have a giant display window, which can be somewhat torturous to walk by on, say, a Sunday.

Here's the finished prancing doe. I was undecided as to whether to cut around the legs but, upon looking at this photo, I think I will. This appliqué will likely find its way onto a pillow.

bunny softie

This softie stands 9" tall, and is made from natural cotton with a pink felt back. I made the contours a little asymmetrical to keep it kitschy. I love how it looks as though she is daydreaming about something delightfully secretive.
